Discover the rich history and culture of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. This half-day guided tour takes you to the city’s most iconic landmarks, blending Inca and colonial heritage.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 9 a.m. and begin our tour. We will visit the following places:
A massive Inca fortress with impressive stone walls, offering panoramic views of Cusco. It was an important ceremonial and military site.
The most sacred Inca temple, dedicated to the Sun God. The Spanish later built the Santo Domingo Convent on top of its foundations, blending both Inca and colonial architecture.
A mysterious Inca ceremonial site with carved stone altars and underground passageways, believed to have been used for religious rituals.
A small Inca military site, known as the “Red Fortress,” which served as a checkpoint and resting place for travelers.
An Inca site famous for its water fountains and aqueducts, believed to have been a sacred bathing place or a temple dedicated to water.
We will return to the city of Cusco. The tour will conclude between approximately 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
